1. Pittsburgh Steelers: Dick LeBeau is the best D/C in the NFL. James Harrison and Troy Polamalu are flat out great. Your whole LB group is amazing, not very deep though. Your DL is pretty good and a decent secondary but you always get the job done. Unknown players always step up and do something for you. You lost Bryant McFadden and Larry Foote thats about it.
2. Washington Redskins: Albert Haynesworth and Brian Orakpo were added in. You already have London-Fletcher, Griffin, Carter, McIntosh in your front 7. Your secondary you have two good safeties and three good corners. Your in a tough divison but even with it your going to be a good defense.
3. New York Giants: You have the #1 DL, Osi, Canty, Bernard, and Tuck starting... even your backups of Kiwanuka and Robbins are good. Antonio Peirce and new additon Michael Boley will stop if anything gets through the front 4. Aaron Ross is developing at corner and Kenny Phillips is at safety. You look like you'll be good this year on D.
4. San Diego Chargers: Shawne Merriman and Antonio Cromartie is as well. Last year Cooper and Shaun Phillips stepped up with Merriman gone now hes back helps them. Castillo and Jamal Williams will stop up front. They drafted OLB/DE Larry English in the draft which will provided depth. Jammer and Cason along with the Cro are a good CB group. Safeties are a little weak.
5. New York Jets: Kerry Rhodes is a good safety. You added Bart Scott, Jim Leonhard , Lito Shepard, and Rex Ryan (Coach). Ghoston needs to step up and you already have Jenkins, Pace, and Ellis going good. Darelle Revis stepped up big last year. I think put all these things together and you look pretty great on the D.
6. Tennessee Titans: The Titans lost Big Al. But they now have 5 DT who are fighting for his spot, so now you rotate them in and your set. Keith Bulluck, David Thornton, and underrated Stephen Tulloch are one of the best LB group. Javon Kearse and Kyle Vanden Bosch provided Vetran EXP on the DL. Young gunners Jacob Ford and Jason Jones will learn. Courtland Finnegan is one of the best corners along with a realllly good safety group in Griffin and Hope.
7. Baltimore Ravens: Lost Bart Scott, Leonhard, and your D/C. You added 3 decent safties to add in with Samari Rolle. Ray Lewis is always good. But he's all you really have besides Terrell Suggs in the LB group. Your DL looks good. You'll have a good defense but not as good as last year. Ray Lewis is getting old.
8. New Orleans Saints: You added vet Darren Sharper and Malcom Jenkins. Sedrick Ellis is coming into his second year. You have an ok DL and your LB look good, (Vilma). Also added Jabari Green add him in with your all ready good secondary. You had the 4th best rush d last year, but 16th pass.
9. Minnesota Vikings: This depends what happens to the Williams thats why your so low. If you lose them for 3+ games thats bad. You have Jared Allen hes one of the best DE. Henderson is improving. Winfield and Griffin are looking good.... Lost Sharper though.
10. Chicago Bears: Urlacher is great. Briggs is too. You also have depth in LB with Hillenmyer, Pisa T., and Marcus Freeman. Your DL always does good. DJ Moore needs to be good because your secondary doesn't look amazing. Top 10 Defense barely.
Just missed the cut: Cowboys, Eagles, and Pats

Top 10 Defenses in the NFLEagles are definitely Top 10. 4th in PPG and 3rd in YPG last year, and no major losses in the off-season. |

Top 10 Defenses in the NFLthe saints defense was AWFUL last year. adding a couple guys in the secondary of all places(one a rookie and one 90 years old, plus a DT whos never played) is supposed to make them top 10? |

Top 10 Defenses in the NFLI think the Eagles and Patriots got be listed in the top 10. As long as Jim Johnson is D-coach for Philly and the "hoodie" runs the show in N.E. they'll be be up there. Packers could be a sleeper defense. |

Top 10 Defenses in the NFLFor all the people that hate the Saints in my top 10, check the stats... 6th best defense last year by yards given up. The #4 rush defense but 19th pass d. They added Malcom Jenkins, Jabari Green, and Darren Sharper just wait and see. |

Top 10 Defenses in the NFLThats just about the lineup I think is the "best" but almost every year some team does better then they are predicted and a team(or two) do worse. If this was bout Teams in general the Pats are a "bust" and the "must" is the bears. |
